Soaked Morels (Guchchi) 8
Pine Nuts 1/3 cup
Basmati rice soaked 1 cup
Butter/Ghee 2 tablespoon
Yellow Onion 1 medium
Bay leaf 1
Black Cardamom 1
Black peppercorns 8-10
Whole Cumin 1/2 tsp
Water 1 cup
Milk 1/2 cup
1, Heat butter/ghee in a pan. Add bay leaf and cumin.
2, Once cumin starts to splutter, add black pepper, black cardamom and cloves. Slice onions and add and stir for 1 minute.
3, Add the Pine Nuts and stir for 2 mins. Slice the Morrells and add. Add rice and mix.
4, Add water and salt. Bring to a boil. Lower the heat and stir in the milk. Cover and cook on low heat for 10 mins (or till rice is done).
5,Take the pot off the heat and let it cook in it’s own steam by leaving the lid on for 5 mins. Serve hot.
